About Beeson Elementary: 

Beeson Elementary School, established in 1983 is located at 1700 West Beeson Road in Dodge City, Kansas. Named after Merritt L. Beeson, a dedicated supporter of public education, the school serves students from kindergarten through fifth grade as part of the Dodge City Public Schools district.

Meet Erica Teran, Principal at Beeson Elementary! Teran is a graduate of Dodge City High School (class of 2001) and has earned degrees from Dodge City Community College, Newman University, and Kansas State University. She has been in education for 23 years. Teran has been nominated for the Kansas Master Teacher of the Year twice. 

 

 

Q: What is your favorite part about your job?

A: My favorite part of my job is getting to see our students, families, and staff continue to grow and learn. 

 

Q: What do you like to do in your free time?

A: I love to spend time with my family which includes my parents, five siblings, nieces and nephews. I love spending time with my husband, Jesus, our children Vanessa and Carlos, and our puppy, Lola. 

 

Q: Any fun facts about you?

A: I was born in Sun Valley, California. I moved to Wichita and attended WPS before moving to Dodge City. Dodge City is considered my home.
